Garmin Approach Z10 Golf Laser Rangefinder

Precision Distance. Smarter Decisions. Better Golf.

Take the guesswork out of every shot with the Garmin Approach Z10, a compact and lightweight golf laser rangefinder designed to deliver fast, precise distances to the pin.

With 6X magnification, ±1-yard ranging accuracy, and the ability to measure the flag from up to 350 yards, the Approach Z10 gives golfers the confidence to select the right club and plan each shot with greater precision.

And when paired with a compatible Garmin golf device or the Garmin Golf app, the Z10 goes beyond basic laser ranging with Range Relay, sending your measured distance to your connected device for an expanded view of the hole.

Fast, Accurate Pin Ranging

The Approach Z10 makes getting your yardage simple. Aim at the target and range the distance with the laser. When the rangefinder locks onto the pin, vibration feedback helps confirm that you've successfully identified the target.

The Z10 can measure reflective targets from 7 to 1,200 yards, while its dedicated pin-ranging capability reaches up to 350 yards. Ranged distances are accurate within 1 yard.

Range Relay — Connect Your Laser to Garmin

The Approach Z10 is designed to work as part of the Garmin golf ecosystem.

Using Range Relay, the Z10 can send its laser-measured distance to a compatible Garmin smartwatch, handheld, or the Garmin Golf smartphone app. Once the target is locked, compatible devices can display a Laser Range Arc, helping you see what is in play at the measured distance along with distances to the front and back of the green.

PlaysLike Distance

Don't just know the distance—understand how the shot is playing.

PlaysLike Distance adjusts the displayed yardage based on elevation changes, helping you account for uphill and downhill shots when deciding which club to use.

For tournament rounds, Tournament Mode disables PlaysLike Distance and activates an external indicator light so you can clearly see when tournament-compliant mode is enabled.

Dynamic Distance

When the Approach Z10 is connected to a compatible Garmin device, ranged distances can remain dynamic as you approach the target. That means you don't necessarily have to re-range before every shot—the distance can continue updating as you move toward your target.

Compact, Lightweight Golf Design

At just 6.3 oz (178 g), the Approach Z10 is designed to be easy to carry throughout your round.

Its compact body features an integrated magnetic mount, allowing you to conveniently secure the rangefinder to a golf cart while riding.

The Z10 also carries an IPX4 water rating, providing protection against water splashes, making it suitable for typical conditions encountered on the course.

Find My Rangefinder

Misplaced your Z10?

When paired with the Garmin Golf app, Find My Rangefinder allows you to view the rangefinder's last known location, helping you track it down if you leave it behind on the course.

Garmin Golf Connectivity

The Approach Z10 can be used on its own as a laser rangefinder, or connected to the Garmin golf ecosystem for additional functionality.

When paired with the Garmin Golf app or a compatible Garmin device, laser-measured distances can be shared with the connected device through Range Relay. The connected experience can provide additional information such as distances to the front and back of the green and a Laser Range Arc showing what is in play at the laser-measured distance.

Important: The Approach Z10 does not have built-in GPS or CourseView maps. Garmin's Approach Z82 is the model that combines laser ranging with built-in GPS and CourseView maps.

Garmin Golf Membership

Optional Garmin Golf membership features can provide additional information through the Garmin Golf app, including Green Contour Data on supported courses and aerial imagery. These are subscription features and are not the same as built-in GPS functionality on the Z10.

The Bottom Line

The Garmin Approach Z10 is an excellent choice for golfers who want the precision of laser-ranging technology without the size or complexity of a GPS-equipped rangefinder.

With accurate pin distances, elevation-adjusted PlaysLike yardage, Tournament Mode, Range Relay connectivity, and a compact design, the Z10 delivers the essential information you need to make smarter club selections and more confident shots.
