Garmin Approach G20 Solar GPS Golf Handheld
Solar-Powered Golf GPS Built to Keep Playing
Spend more time focused on your game and less time worrying about your battery.
The Garmin Approach G20 Solar is a compact GPS golf handheld designed to provide accurate on-course yardages, helpful course information, and an exceptionally long battery life. Its integrated solar charging technology can provide unlimited battery life in sunny conditions, making it an ideal companion for golfers who want reliable yardages round after round without constantly recharging their device.
The G20 Solar features a sunlight-readable, high-contrast monochrome display with large, easy-to-read numbers, more than 43,000 preloaded golf courses worldwide, and essential course-management features including distances to the front, middle and back of the green, hazards, doglegs, layups, and more.
Unlimited Solar Battery Life
The standout feature of the Approach G20 Solar is its integrated solar charging technology.
When used in approximately 75,000-lux conditions, the G20 Solar can provide unlimited battery life, allowing you to play round after round without needing to recharge.
Even when sunlight is limited, the G20 Solar can provide up to 180 hours or approximately 36 rounds of GPS-only use under poor solar conditions.
A USB-C charging connection is also included, giving you a convenient backup charging option when needed.
Note: "Unlimited battery life" assumes continuous exposure to approximately 75,000 lux of sunlight. Actual battery performance varies depending on solar conditions and usage.
Easy-to-Read Golf Yardages
The G20 Solar features a sunlight-readable, high-resolution monochrome display designed to remain easy to see in bright outdoor conditions.
During your round, quickly view:
- Distance to the front of the green
- Distance to the middle of the green
- Distance to the back of the green
- Layup distances
- Dogleg distances
- Hazards and course targets
Large numbers make the most important information quick to read without having to squint at the screen.
You can also activate Big Numbers Mode when you want your yardages displayed even more prominently.
More Than 43,000 Golf Courses
The Approach G20 Solar comes preloaded with more than 43,000 golf courses worldwide.
Course information can be updated wirelessly when the device is paired with a compatible smartphone and the Garmin Golf app, helping keep your course database current.
Green View
Get a better understanding of the green before hitting your approach.
Green View shows the shape of the green and allows you to manually move the pin position to better reflect the day's actual hole location.
This helps provide a more useful target than simply relying on a single distance number.
Wind Information
Pair the G20 Solar with the Garmin Golf app on a compatible smartphone to receive wind speed and direction information.
Wind data can help you make more informed club selections and adjust your strategy based on current playing conditions.
Automatic Shot Tracking
For golfers who want to keep track of their performance, the G20 Solar is compatible with Garmin Approach CT10 club tracking sensors, sold separately.
When paired with compatible CT10 sensors, the device can automatically track shots and provide a clearer picture of your round and club performance.
Digital Scorecard & Game Tracking
Keep your score directly on the device while playing.
The G20 Solar also supports golf statistics such as strokes, putts, greens hit, and fairways hit, helping you keep a record of your performance throughout your round.
Compact and Easy to Carry
The Approach G20 Solar is designed to stay accessible throughout your round.
Use the built-in magnetic mount to attach it directly to a golf cart, or use the included belt clip to keep it conveniently positioned on your person or golf bag.
Its compact design makes it easy to carry without the bulk of a larger golf GPS device.
Built for Golf Weather
With an IPX7 water rating, the Approach G20 Solar is designed to withstand wet conditions encountered on the golf course.
You can keep playing through rain and changing weather without having to worry about normal water exposure.
Find My Garmin
Forgot your G20 Solar on the golf cart?
When paired with the Garmin Golf app, Find My Garmin can help you locate the device by showing its last known location.
It's a particularly useful feature for a GPS handheld designed to mount directly to a golf cart.
